Due to increasing urbanization, our cities are getting bigger and have to carry much more people. As a result of this the living space will run short, same as the traffic area in the recent future. The infrastructure can’t be changed, so there have to be some new ways for the mobility of the people. Beside the public transport options like buses and trains, there is a rise in demand for individual transportation, where bicycles could be the answer.

Eco Factor: Sustainable skyscraper to purify contaminated water of Ciliwung River in Jakarta

Jakarta was originally designed as a water city where thirteen rivers crossed the city, which were utilized as a source of livelihood by the citizens. However, today the Ciliwung River, has become a disaster for the citizens as a surge of water flooded the city, and the number of slums along the riverbanks adds a new problem, namely the pollution of watershed’s surrounding.

The Ciliwung Recovery Program (CRP) by Rezza Rahdian, Edwin Setiawan,Aayu Diah Shanti and Leonardus Chrisnantyo aims to purify the river using renewable energy. There are three main lines in the process of purifying the river – in the first stage polluted water is made to enter the building using a network of pipes by utilizing capillary vessel systems. At this stage river water is separated from garbage.

Sony is exhibiting its latest digital imaging products, including a concept model of its new compact “α” DSLR camera system that packs the quality of a DSLR camera in an extraordinarily small body, along with interchangeable lenses will be exhibited for the first time in Japan at CP+2010 (Camera and Photo Imaging Show) in Yokohama, starting from on March 11 2010. In 2010, Sony will introduce the ultra-compact camera with interchangeable lenses that teams “any time, anywhere” convenience with DSLR picture quality. The concept model to be exhibited at CP+2010 features a newly-developed “Exmor” APS HD CMOS sensor and also supports HD video recording using the AVCHD format.

Based on the Pagani Cinque, the Zonda Tricolore has a carbon fibre and titanium wire weave combination body with front LED headlights made to resemble the tail fin of an airplane. And just like the Cinque, it will come with an AMG-sourced engine making 499kW (678 PS / 669 hp) and 780Nm (575 lb-ft).
