Eco Factor: Sustainable pavilion for World Expo 2012, portrays oceans using solar energy.
MVRDV has unveiled the design of “The Water Cube Pavilion” for the World Expo 2012 to be held in Yeosu, Korea. Designed under the theme of “The Living Ocean and Coast”, the Water Cube Pavilion will focus on the power and beauty of oceans by making a pure visible block of water that seems to be extracted from the ocean. The hollowed out block will create a great water space, where the visitors will be surrounded by water. Natural light will filter through to illuminate the interiors. This space will be used for exhibitions and gatherings during the World Expo.
The Water Cube is to be constructed out of a surrounding wall which features a series of water basins that are organized like a world map. This arrangement will allow the designers portray different seas more clearly. The continents have more closed elements in the façade and thus contain the stability elements. The roof is constructed with 5 meter high beams that span from the supporting web towards the centre of the roof: the North Pole.
The skin of the Water Cube will be made using four layers of glass, with water in between. Sea water from outside will be pumped constantly into the basin to keep the circulation through the building. The skin also features elements to control the raise of temperature for the basins. These elements will also contain rolling curtains to control UV penetration and solar cells to generate renewable energy for water circulation and lighting.

我们收到了一条有趣的留言：
听前同事说起这个文章，今天闲得无聊上网来看下。感觉写这篇文章的老兄看来知道不少情况，但是有些东西的实情其实也并不清楚。举几个例子来说吧：
1、GFW的经费可比金盾工程的多了不知道几十倍！
2、方滨兴之流的根本就不是什么真正的技术专家，只是众多“叫兽”之一而已。（说实话，就方滨兴、云晓春、刘欣然之流的，他们那点儿技术水平都是给我当学生过来的。）
3、GFW的技术水平其实就像作者所说的那样，发现特征、阻断，不行的话就封IP，根本谈不到什么高水平。
4、CNCERT的技术支持一直就是启明星辰，连工作人员都是从启明星辰借调的。
而在数十分钟之后，自曲新闻又有一条几乎相同的留言，似乎这位留言者存在某种混淆。
关于这条留言，我有一些看法：
- 可查证的资料显示，GFW的经费是十亿数量级的，而金盾工程是百亿数量级的。
- 这位自称学术地位比方滨兴还要高，同时又使用“‘叫兽’”这样的语言，表达出一种随意而悠闲的思想感情，说明这位的身份是非常有意思的。
- 关于GFW的技术水平，至少方滨兴等人的论文看起来并不激动人心，在研究过程中GFW经常会让人产生这样的感觉：“啊，为什么这里这么偷工减料。”虽然GFW背后的技术力量的确是中国顶尖的，但做出来的东西却不一定能够摆脱“山寨的本性”。
- 启明星辰的确在GFW中起到重要作用，但是而启明星辰对GFW的作用到底怎么定性，只是运维，还是研发，还是参与技术决策？技术支持又是怎样一种角色？字面上理解，技术支持只是配角。总之这些情况因为保密不得而知，也许不同人看启明星辰的角色都有不同的角度。
至于“但是有些东西的实情其实也并不清楚”，我想引一段话，出自人渣经济笔记：
在改革开放以前，中国对外界而言，基本就有点像一个黑洞——巨大但几乎没有什么可靠的信息出来，特别是中国经济的状况。几年前，哈佛的Dwight Perkins教授在他的非正式退休讲演中就说，改革开放以前，他和不少研究东亚和中国经济的经济学家，一直要做的一件事情就是，在官方数据不可得或者不可相信的情况下，估算中国经济的大小。 Perkins教授曾跟我说起，为了了解情况，他当年甚至读了不少可以收集到的大陆出版的小说。然后改革开放之后，中国一下开始公布这些数据了，Perkins教授开玩笑说：坏消息是我们这些多年的工作一下就没什么用了，好消息是我们发现当年我们猜得那些数据还是比较准确的。

深入理解GFW：内部结构
二月 19th, 2010 Posted in 挨踢技术 | 73 Views之前我们对GFW进行了大量的黑箱测试，尽管大多数实验数据都得到了良好的解释，但是还是有些数据或者体现出的规律性（不规律性）没有得到合理的解释。比如TCP连接的各项超时时间，比如Google的443端口被无状态阻断时，继发状态的持续跟源IP相关的问题。比如一般TCP连接的继发阻断时，窗口尺寸和TTL的连续变化特性。这些问题已经超出纯协议的范畴，需要对GFW的内部结构进行进一步了解才能明白其原因。所以在这一章介绍GFW的实现和内部结构。
总的来说，GFW是一个建立在高性能计算集群上规模庞大的分布式入侵检测系统。其分布式架构带来了很高的可伸缩性，对骨干网一点上庞大流量的处理问题被成功转换成购买超级计算机堆砌处理能力的问题。它目前有能力对中国大陆全部国际网络流量进行复杂和深度的检测，而且处理能力“还有很大潜力”（2009年8月）[null]。
线路接入
对于GFW在网络上的位置，有很模糊的认知：“在三个国际出口作旁路监听”。然而还希望对在出国之前最后一跳之前发生了什么有详细了解。
GFW希望对不同线路的链路异构性进行耦合，并研究了快速以太网、低速WAN、光纤、专用信号多种类型链路的耦合技术。[03b]而根据《国际通信出入口局管理办法》，几大ISP有自己的国际出入口局，最后在公用国际光缆处汇合，比如在海缆登陆站之前汇合。据已有的资料，安管中心（CNNISC）有独立的交换中心，而且有报道说各个ISP是分别接入其交换中心。这样几个材料就可以形成一致的解释：为了适应不同ISP不同的链路规格，GFW自己的交换中心需要对不同的链路进行整合，不同的ISP分别引出旁路接入GFW。而没有接入GFW的线路则被称为“防外线”[来源不可靠]，不受GFW影响。接入的线路类型应该主要是光纤线路，因此通常称此接入方式为分光。这就是“旁路分光”。另外实验发现，GFW的接入地点并不一定紧靠最后一跳，因此图中以虚线表示。需要注意GFW的响应流量重新接回网络的地点难以确认，这里只是假设是与接出的地点相同。

现在社会上有另一派观点，说”选择比努力更重要”，此观点因为看到了选择正确的方向可以事半功倍而备受推崇。
到底如何看待努力和选择?以下是栖息谷里阿懒利用QQ群整理的对话:
1.努力和选择的辩证关系
当你有能力选择时,选择比努力更重要;
当你没能力选择时,努力比选择更重要。

当你有能力选择，并有很多选择时,选择比努力更重要；
当你能力不够而导致选择不足、不够好时,努力比选择更重要。

选择之后就是努力，努力之后会迎来更多的选择。
人生就是……努力->选择->努力->选择->努力……，不断往复，螺旋式上升。

这一次的选择，是为了下一次的努力；
这一次的努力，是为了下一次有更好的选择。

努力和选择不是简单的直线关系，不是简单的谁比谁更重要的关系。

比方说，简单相信此观点，工作中，就相信 选择工作的过程，比工作的过程更重要
其实，很多选择的机会，只有当你努力了之后才能发现、获得和被给予。
有了努力，才有更多的选择！
包括做出明智选择的能力，也是在努力中才能获得的。

我的答复:你的选择的机会和能力，取决于你大学四年的努力。你的努力少，可供你选择的机会就少。同时面都机会你做出最佳选择的能力也相对不够。
人生而为人，并没有选择，都是不由你自己的。
你什么时候出生，生于何时何地，都不是你选择的。
你的第一个目标，就是努力学会如何吃饭，走路，完了之后才有了一些可供选择的机会：下午是去和小明玩，还是和小虎玩。呵呵。
人是零选择开始，努力之后才有了一些选择。
有了选择之后继续努力。
你越努力，你的选择越多。
你光顾着选择，努力的时候就少，今后可供你选择的机会就变少了。
3.努力和选择
套用女人的话， 嫁的好还是干的好。杨澜说：干的好是基础，嫁的好是必须 。
引申到这里， 努力是基础，选择是必须。
努力和选择，实力和机会，是事业成功、家庭幸福的两翼，少了一个都飞不起来。
两个翅膀相互协调，才能更高、更快、更稳。

入对行跟对人
在 中国，大概很少有人是一份职业做到底的，虽然如此，第一份工作还是有些需要注意的地方，有两件事情格外重要，第一件是入行，第二件事情是跟人。第一份工作 对人最大的影响就是入行，现代的职业分工已经很细，我们基本上只能在一个行业里成为专家，不可能在多个行业里成为专家。很多案例也证明即使一个人在一个行 业非常成功，到另外一个行业，往往完全不是那么回事情，“你想改变世界，还是想卖一辈子汽水？”是乔布斯邀请百事可乐总裁约翰?斯 考利加盟苹果时所说的话，结果这位在百事非常成功的约翰，到了苹果表现平平。其实没有哪个行业特别好，也没有哪个行业特别差，或许有报道说哪个行业的平均 薪资比较高，但是他们没说的是，那个行业的平均压力也比较大。看上去很美的行业一旦进入才发现很多地方其实并不那么完美，只是外人看不见。

Marithé François Girbaud non è nuovo a polemiche legate alle sue campagne pubblicitarie, tra cui spicca per incisività quella che replicava qualche anno fa una moderna rappresentazione dell’ultima cena con un Cristo donna. Quest’anno non susciterà polemiche ma si farà ricordare.
Per questa stagione i coniugi dietro il marchio hanno scelto di ribaltare completamente ogni concetto, in senso letterale e fisico, perché la costruzione di tutte le immagini pubblicitarie per la primavera-estate 2010 è capovolta, con un gioco di rimandi tra direzioni verso l’alto e verso il basso che si contrastano e non rendono chiaro quale sia il verso giusto, sempre che ce ne sia uno.
Il titolo d’altronde non lascia spazio a dubbi ma molto all’interpretazione: “This is a crazy world”. Lo sappiamo, ma ciascuno attribuisce il proprio filtro al significato del messaggio. Quello di Marithé François Girbaud si affida all’occhio e all’obiettivo di Steve Hiett, già alla sua quarta collaborazione con il brand.

HTC was the first to bring us the Android platform and I’m grateful. Call me a fan-boy I don’t care, but I’ll say this, the first two handsets stank to the high heavens, I know, I reviewed them. But things changed and then came forth the Hero which incidentally is device of the year at MWC’s GSMA Awards recently announced. The Tattoo was next and is one of the cheapest Android handsets and now there’s the HTC Legend (running Android 2.1) which I too would say is quite the chic looking handset except there seems to be an unnecessary amount of empty space around the return key/trackball. But the fact that its shell is a single piece of aluminum is total redemption on its part in my book. The AMOLED (3.2-inch) touchscreen display will make sure your battery life is optimized and the 600 MHz processor will make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s loaded with all sorts of connectivity like Wi-Fi, GPS and of course Bluetooth. A 5MP camera and flash are also strapped on. What’s the real scoop is that this one features multi-touch and the new upgrade to Sense UI is the perfect complement to the function. The Legend is due to hit Europe sometime in late March or early April. There’s no word yet for the rest of the planet. We’ve still got to wait a bit on the pricing as well.

写这篇文章也算机缘巧合，以前玩Travian时的公会群有人推荐了《Evony》这款游戏，一玩发现这游戏和《热血三国》有点象，然后在网络搜索一下，真是一个话题不断的游戏，于是起了兴致，元旦假期里利用一个晚上写完。虽然在发布时隐去了游戏背后的公司名称，加了两段话，不过总体基本就是下面这篇的样子了~
在网络转载后，没多久有人加我，称是《Evony》的制作人，也借此了解到了一些这个游戏更深层次的一些东西，最近有空写写~
国产网页游戏的海外困境
两年前，中国的游戏商恐怕不会想到，在目前中国网络游戏界通行的一些推广手段和收费机制在美国会取得如此有效的成果，但是漫天的批评与指责也随之而来。
广告引发的侵权风波
一款名为《Civony》的网页游戏在2009年的美国在线广告市场掀起了无数波澜。
2009年4月前后，在几乎所有与游戏、科技相关的网站、私人博客的Google图片广告位上，都可以看到一个名为《Civony》的游戏广告，广告上一名身着性感内衣的女郎诱惑地看着你，旁边只有游戏的名称——Civony；而在另一则广告上，一位衣着暴露的性感女郎闭着双眼，背景似乎是游戏中的地图与城堡，图片上附有以下文字：管理你的土地，打造你的帝国，王后在等着你。
如果你是报着晋见美丽王后的心态进入游戏的话，你会失望而归——游戏中并不存在美丽的王后。确切地讲，《Civony》是一款带有策略元素的模拟城市建设游戏，游戏模式和中国网页游戏市场上风行的《热血三国》十分相似。
被广告误导而来的玩家不少，于是在游戏官方论坛的新手指引FAQ上，出现了如下的说明：
Q：到哪里能找到王后？(How do I get my queen?)
A：游戏里并没有王后，你见到的广告都是作为宣传的手段，从论坛上出现类似的问题数量来看，颇为行之有效。(There is no queen in this game, the ad you saw is for marketing purposes and seems to be highly effective by the number of times this question has come up。)
